Announcing The 1967 in Film Blogathon!

Silver Screenings and I are co-hosting
The 1967 in Film Blogathon
which will take place from
June 20 – 22, 2014!

1967 is known for being one of the greatest years in film with the release of Mike Nichols’ legendary film, The Graduate, and the last film overseen by Walk Disney himself, The Jungle Book, Gene Wilder’s film debut in Bonnie and Clyde and so many more. But it was not only a significant year for film releases; it, sadly, brought with it the loss of many stars such as Claude Rains, Vivien Leigh and Spencer Tracy. In 1967 the world was in the midst of a Cold War and the sexual revolution was swiftly advancing, both of which affected the films of the time, and it cannot go unmentioned that the abolition of the Hays Code was bringing out the previously unseen daring and experimental side of film.

No matter what your topic is, as long as it revolves around the film industry during 1967, you can write about it!

  2. Ooooh this looks VERY promising! No one’s signed up for Bonnie and Clyde yet? Can I reserve that film for myself? Let me know! xx

  3. This looks fantastic! Can you sign me up for Tati’s “Playtime” on the 21st or 22nd? Thanks!

  8. Wow, this one does look like fun, but It’ll be hard to decide what to discuss. I know there should be a few things but it might take some time before I can find a good movie to bring up.

  9. I do have one I can give you if it hasn’t already been taken. It’s not one I liked and the things I say may be considered offensive to certain readers. I’ll have to see if I can find a good one.

Hello! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing
many months of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any solutions to prevent hackers?
